Cash SUD System Update, Sunday, 2/21/21, 1pm
February 21, 2021
Customers in Cycle 2 (served by the Greenville tower) should have some water but with lower than normal pressure.
Customers in Cycle 3 (served by the Office and Dixon towers) should be seeing some water by this afternoon but with low pressure.
Customers in Cycle 4, (served by the Lone Oak and Cumby towers) will not see any water till later tonight. Further water main breaks could possibly delay that estimate.
We are asking ALL Cash SUD customers to continue to conserve water. Here are some things you can do to help: Don’t run dish washer or washing machine and fix leaks as quickly as possible.
The treatment plant continues to make water, which is extremely hard with water temps below 45 degrees. Chemical reactions are slowed and our clarifiers continue to turn over causing filters to backwash more often. The plant is currently running at peak summer time flows. Our plant went from winter flow of ¾ of a million gallons per day to 2.5 million gallons per day in a very short time….
Thank you, again, for your patience and understanding during these very difficult days.
